Montpellier president Louis Nicollin has explained selling Steve Mounie to Huddersfield Town.

The Premier League new boys are set to beat West Brom to Mounie's signing.

Nicollin confirmed: "In principle he would like to sign there. The case of Steve is an opportunity both for him and for us. It is a great operation for the club knowing that he is the highest-selling player.

"The departure of Mounié does not change our logic of recruitment. All that will happen from now on will be only one more. It's up to us to replace him to have a competitive team."
