Davide Nicola insists he deserves to keep the Torino job.
Nicola has guided Toro to Serie A safety, but his future is clouded.
Nicola said, “In these four months, not a day went by in which we weren't fighting for the result. There's hard work behind this, I am proud and satisfied that I did what was asked of me.
“I never have regrets, as you must learn from mistakes and not want to wipe them out. I feel that this experience proved my methods can be applied to various teams and contexts, which makes me think I'm on the right track. I want to improve in every area.
“Not everyone can do this job, you need a certain detachment from everything that goes around you. It doesn't annoy me that other coaches are linked with Torino, as I know it's a role many coaches want. What matters to me is that I proved I am worthy of Toro.
“I would be happy to continue here and I'll tell the club what I think."
