Nice goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel denied Folarin Balogun from the penalty spot for yesterday's 0-0 draw with Reims.
In the second half, the 36-year-old former Leicester City captain saved a penalty from Ligue 1 top scorer Balogun.
The on-loan Arsenal striker had a chance from the rebound, but smashed his effort wide of the goal.
Reims are now unbeaten in Ligue 1 for 16 consecutive matches.
