Nice chief Fournier jets to New York for Vieira talks

Nice are refusing to give up on convincing Patrick Vieira to leave New York City FC.

The Ligue 1 outfit want Vieira to replace Lucien Favre, who was confirmed new coach of Borussia Dortmund last week.

Manchester City have already told Vieira they do not wish to lose him, with the Frenchman contracted to the Premier League champs as he coaches MLS sister club NYCFC.

RMC says Nice sports chief Julien Fournier is flying to New York this week to meet with Vieira face-to-face.

Fournier hopes to convince Vieira about the job, though they will still need to negotiate with City about releasing the Frenchman from his contract.
