Niasse, Dyson on target as Everton spank Arsenal U23s

Everton's U23 side hammered Arsenal 5-0 on Monday night.

A late brace from substitute Callum Dyson wrapped up proceedings at Meadow Park following earlier goals from Kieran Dowell, Liam Walsh and forgotten signing Oumar Niasse.

A young Gunners side was not match for David Unsworth's Premier League 2 leaders who lead by a goal at the break before adding four more in the second half.

The majority of the Arsenal U23 regulars were out of the team with the view to playing in the EFL Cup third round against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday night.

Eddie Nketiah, who signed a pro deal with the North Londoners last week, started up front while Ismael Bennacer skipper the team.

For Everton, summer signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin was in the starting XI along with the highly-rated David Henen.
