Manchester United defender Regan Poole is set to return to Newport County.

The Daily Mail says Poole is joining former club Newport County on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old became Newport's youngest ever player when he made his debut aged 16 years and 94 days in 2014.

He moved to United, after interest from Liverpool, for an initial £100,000 and has been capped 15 times by Wales at U21 level.

Poole played 22 games on loan at Northampton last season but was powerless to stop them being relegated from League One.
