Newport County goalkeeper Nick Townsend believes the League Two outfit can upset Newcastle United in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.

Steve Bruce's side will travel to Wales looking to book a place in the quarter-finals.

But Townsend says his side are confident they can cause an upset.

"With the experience we have had over the last few seasons, it feels like a normal game," said Townsend.

"They are a Premier League team but we are confident. We feel we can win."
