Newcastle United have not held any talks regarding Will Hughes from Watford.

The 26-year-old is someone the club has scouted extensively in the past, per Chronicle Live.

However, speculation regarding a move for Hughes that would send Isaac Hayden the other way is being denied, according to the Chronicle.

The club are very keen to keep Hayden this summer, despite a bid of roughly £10 million from Southampton.

Hayden signed a six year deal in September 2020 and is firmly seen as one who will be at the club for a long time to come.
