Andros Townsend feels he is only now just starting to really get going following a disastrous first half of the season.
On Monday, the 24-year-old winger was selected in England's 26-man preliminary squad for this summer's European Championships having finished the campaign in fine form with Newcastle United.
Townsend was reduced to an U21 role with Tottenham Hotspur before moving to St James' Park for £12million in January and insists he is about to hit his peak after impressing for the relegated Magpies in recent months.
"I am fresh, I have played 13 games this year. There's no secret that I had a difficult first half to the season," he said.
"So to be back playing regular Premier League football again is an incredible feeling.
"I am gutted the club season has ended because I am just getting into my stride - I am only just warming up and ready to go.
"My confidence and form are back and that is showing on the pitch. It is great that the England call has come. Roy knows what I can offer."
He added: "I can help England and the manager if he wants to use me in France."
