Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin says their FA Cup 0-0 draw with Oxford United was his worst performance in a Toon shirt.

The Frenchman was guilty, several times, of getting into good positions but taking too many touches before releasing the ball - but did have force Simon Eastwood into the only decent save of the first half with a low drive.

Responding to supporters' tweets, Saint-Maximin picked out one that criticised his performance - agreeing with the critque.

"Not gonna lie, that's true it's my worst game so far, no excuses... Now I'm gonna work even harder to be more in shape! Thank you for the support."
