Newcastle United are waiting for the green light from PSG to move for striker Mevlut Erdinc.
The Mirror says Erdinc could soon be surplus to requirements at PSG with prospective new boss Leonardo keen on a move for either Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov and Inter Milan's Samuel Eto'o to join Lorient capture Kevin Gameiro.
Toon boss Alan Pardew is eager to land Erdinc, whose agent has already declared his ambition to move to England.
Pardew wants two more strikers to follow the arrival of Demba Ba from West Ham United.
