Newcastle United produced a 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion on the weekend.
The Magpies moved out of the bottom three thanks to their sixth win of the campaign and second in a row at St James' Park.
The only goal of the contest came in the 32nd minute when Aleksandar Mitrovic got on the end of Jonjo Shelvey's well-weighted ball before firing beyond Ben Foster.
It was a much-needed victory for the Magpies who are now a point clear of third-bottom Norwich City as Tony Pulis' West Brom stayed 14th following a fifth-straight game without a win.

Humbled by the reception I received today on my home debut but more importantly massive 3 points and thoroughly deserved #nufc

QUOTES CORNER
Newcastle boss McClaren on the magnitude of the win:
"The three points are enormous. We said, 'If we win today, we'll get out of the bottom three', which is important. But you have to gather the points.
"This was a patched-up team, especially the defence, and we know - and I am hoping and I believe - that we will get stronger as the season comes to an end."
West Brom's Pulis on the poor showing:
"I have been at the club for just over a year now and that's most probably the most disappointing away performance we've had.
"The best way of describing it is that we were in a boxing match and we shadow-boxed for 90-odd minutes."
