Newcastle United are closing on a deal for Amiens defender Emil Krafth.

The former Bologna fullback is now on the brink of moving to Newcastle after a fortnight of negotiations.

Courrier-Picard says talks have progressed positively with Newcastle upping their offer to €1.5m.

And all indications now are that Amiens will agree to sell.

For his part, Sweden international Krafth, 25, is eager to see the move happen.
