Newcastle United have been told to up the ante if they want to secure the services of Hatem Ben Arfa from Marseille.
The French club want £6million for the 23-year old winger which may make life difficult for the Magpies.
Marseille have said they are prepared to let Ben Arfa go but only if the deal is permanent but Newcastle want him on a season-long loan.
