Newcastle United midfield pair Mehdi Abeid and Romain Amalfitano have been told to find new clubs.

The Journal says Abeid is interesting Championship club Millwall while Amalfitano - who has slipped completely under the radar since moving to Newcastle a year ago - is set for a return to France after being told he was not in the club's plans.

Nice, who made an approach to sign him last close season, are interested in offering him an escape route from Tyneside.
