Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson has welcomed a reunion with Eddie Howe.
The pair are back together after their time with Bournemouth.
Ahead of meeting Brentford, Wilson told Chronicle Live: "The manager has come in and he's had a week.
"We had no game and he's got work into us, this week has been more about the game.
"Everybody is going to be excited for it players, staff and supporters - everybody around the town.
"Ultimately games have passed us by but we need a result now and this is a great opportunity.
"It's the manager's first game and the home fans are right behind us.
"We have worked in the international break and we have a new style of play, a new direction.
"It's going to be a good day and I think it can be a positive one.
"If you do what is required of you on a match day then it will lead to a positive result."
