Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez has been named Tenerife Sportsman of the Year.

Perez won the mejor deportista tinerfeño de 2014 trophy at the Asociación de la Prensa Deportiva de Tenerife's annual gala dinner.

Speaking to nufcTV, Pérez said: "It's true that I've been accumulating a few trophies.

"My ambition is to keep going and improve, and I definitely hope for more trophies."
