Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez was delighted to score in their 1-1 draw at Brighton.

Perez is proud of his goals return this season.

"It's a great number of goals for me this season – 11 in the Premier League, which is good," he said.

"It's a shame I had to walk off the pitch with the injury. It's very sore at the minute, but hopefully I'll be available for next week.

"We're a bit disappointed because we were dominant in the first half. Let's look at the positives – it's an important point."
