Newcastle United striker Michael Owen has been linked with a potential move to Aston Villa.

The former England striker endured a horror run with the Magpies in their ill-fated season but it is believed Villa boss Martin O'Neill is keen to add him to his improving squad.

It also believed that Italian club AS Roma are interested but wither way, Owen would have to take a massive pay cut to get out of Championship football.
