Newcastle striker Callum Wilson: We go to Spurs full of momentum

Newcastle striker Callum Wilson says they'll face Tottenham full of confidence.

The Magpies have lost just one of their opening 11 league games this term, and are unbeaten in their last six - a run that has moved them to within two points of the top four.

Over the past week, Newcastle have picked up four points from games against Manchester United and Everton, while Spurs are coming off the back of a defeat to the Red Devils in midweek.

"For us as a team, it's really important to keep getting positive results, keep the momentum," Wilson said.

"We've gone to Man United, picked up a positive result then won at home, so you could say the pressure isn't on us and the pressure is on Tottenham."

He added: "They're at home and kind of have that confidence, but we want to go there and test ourselves against a team that is up there in the league as well. That's where we want to be at and we'll see how we get on at the weekend."
