Coventry City have confirmed that Adam Armstrong will remain with the club for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old striker has been on loan from Newcastle United since the summer and the two clubs have now agreed a deal to keep him at Ricoh Arena until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
Armstrong has been in sparkling form for the fourth-placed Sky Blues this season, scoring 16 League One goals in 23 outings, and his decision to stay has delighted Coventry boss Tony Mowbray.
"We're delighted to have Adam here until the end of the season as he has had a fantastic impact during his time at the club," he told the club's official website.
“He is progressing well and we are delighted that Newcastle feel that he is in the best environment for his future development.
"Adam is a great lad to work with, always listening and always looking to improve, and has always shown a great attitude on the training pitch.
"With more games, I'm sure he'll continue to improve and we hope he'll continue to positively impact the club's season."
