Newcastle United are considering a move for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.

According to CBS Sports, the Colombian has emerged as the Magpies' no.1 target for the forward position.

Newcastle want to strengthen their team this winter, and have already secured the signing of Kieran Trippier from Atlético Madrid.

Morelos has eight goals and four assists in 18 league games for Rangers this term.

The source claims that he would cost roughly £20 million, and that is well within the budget for Newcastle's new Saudi Arabian owners.
