Newcastle signing Gordon confesses to Pope: I feel bad...

Newcastle United new signing Anthony Gordon was seen admitting to his sadness at leaving his boyhood club Everton.

The 21-year-old went on strike in his final week as a Toffee, refusing to train as he looked to secure a transfer.

While the talented winger, who only has seven senior goals to his name, was desperate to sign for Newcastle, an exchange with new teammate Nick Pope shows that he does have affection for Everton.

"I spoke to Tarks [James Tarkowski] and he said to look after you and things," said Pope.

Gordon then stated: "I feel bad a little bit for him."

Pope then responded: "It's part of football, geezer. I've done it!"
