Newcastle are set to win the race for Porto forward Vincent Aboubakar, according to the Express.

According to the report, the Magpies have triggered the £8.7m clause in Aboubakar's contract and are willing to pay him £2.5m annual wages.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan with Turkish side Besiktas and managed 19 goals in all competitions.

He was also a part of the Cameroon side that won the Africa Cup in January.
