Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren is looking at the possibility of recalling striker Adam Armstrong from his loan spell at Coventry City.
Barring their 6-2 victory over Norwich City, Newcastle had managed only nine goals in their 12 matches so far this season and it is clear to see that regularly hitting the back of the net remains a problem for the Magpies.
Due to Newcastle's scoring woes, it is believed that the Premier League strugglers will be looking to sign a new striker in January but now according to reports, claims have been made that McClaren is considering recalling Armstrong from his loan spell at Coventry City in order to add more bite into his side's toothless attack.
The 18-year-old has scored 12 goals in 16 outings in League One for Tony Mowbray's Sky Blues.
