Newcastle United are seeking to re-sign Gini Wijnaldum from PSG.

The Holland international has battled for consistency in his first season in France, having arrived in the summer as free agent from Liverpool.

L'Equipe says Newcastle have Wijnaldum high on their shopping list for the January market.

PSG are aware of Newcastle's interest, though are yet to field a firm approach.

Wijnaldum, meanwhile, may need to take some persuading as he'd be swapping a Ligue Une title push for a relegation battle should he return to Tyneside.
