Newcastle United are planning a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.
With injuries to Tim Krul and Robert Elliot, Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has been forced to turn to rookie keeper Jak Alnwick.
The Sun says Pardew hopes to boost his keeper stocks in January by taking Schwarzer on-loan from Chelsea for the remainder of the season.
The Aussie is third-choice at Chelsea behind Thibaut Courtois and Petr Cech.
Any move to Tyneside will depend on Cech, who is weighing up his options at Chelsea ahead of the winter market.
