Newcastle United are interested in AZ Alkmaar whizkid Adam Maher.
The Dutch midfielder famously turned down a move to Manchester City last year and has been linked with Arsenal this season after a string of sparkling performances.
Dutch sources say Toon chief scout Graham Carr has recommended Maher to manager Alan Pardew and a move could be on should they lose Cheick Tiote in the summer.
