Newcastle United defender Curtis Good is set to miss the Scottish Cup semi-final with Dundee United this coming weekend.
The 21-year old Australian defender spent some time on loan with the Tangerines earlier this year before returning to the Magpies after sustaining a hip flexor injury while on international duty with the Socceroos against Ecuador last month.
Good was hoping he would be able to shake off the injury in time to take on Rangers in the semi-final this Saturday but Terrors boss Jackie McNamara suggests he will not get up in time.
"Curtis Good and Calum Butcher are struggling for the weekend," McNamara told The Courier.
"We were hoping that Curtis might have a chance for next week against Rangers but that's not looking like the case.
"He's coming on slowly and is taking a bit longer than we hoped."
Good made five appearances for the Tayside club during his initial spell at Tannadice, scoring one goal, and could return before the Scottish season is complete.
The former Melbourne Heart youngster is determined to get some more playing time under his belt as he looks to force his way into Australia's World Cup squad.
