Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster will more than likely not return to Celtic next season.
The 23-year old gloveman impressed on loan at Celtic Park last season and there have been reports suggesting he was set to head back to Glasgow.
But Hoops boss Neil Lennon says that the club has not spoken to the Magpies following their initial talks which ended in Forster being off the agenda for a permanent purchase.
"I know that Norwich put a bid in for him, but we were told he isn't for sale. We were also told if there was any more interest we'd be informed," he said.
"So would that deal be dead in the water? I would never say never, but we haven't gone back to Newcastle on that one."
