Newcastle's Cisse could cop 7-match ban for spitting on Man Utd's Evans

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse is facing a potential seven-match suspension according to reports.

The Senegal international, 29, allegedly spat on Manchester United defender Jonny Evans during his side's 1-0 loss at St James' Park on Wednesday night and could now be hit with a massive ban.

Cisse has admitted to spitting into the neck of Evans as a reaction after the Northern Ireland international spat in his direction during an altercation in the first half.

The former Freiburg attacker has accepted the FA charge and if found guilty, could be sidelined for as many as seven games.

Evans, who denies any wrongdoing, is also up for a lengthy ban if the FA deem his actions to be inappropriate.
