Newcastle's Cabaye tips Ben Arfa for France squad

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye believes teammate Hatem Ben Arfa can make a late push for the France national team ahead of this summer's Euros.

The winger has been in top form of late which culminated in a brilliant goal in yesterday's 2-0 win over Bolton and with a handful of matches left in the season, Cabaye suggests he could sneak into Laurent Blanc's squad for the tournament in Poland and Ukraine starting in June.

"That was the real Hatem Ben Arfa and fortunately he is playing with us," Frenchman Cabaye said.

"He is in our squad and he is a different-class player. He works hard every day for that, to be fit for us, and he has the national team as a target as well.

"There are still five games and if he plays like that in the last five games, I think he has a big chance to get into the squad."
