95 per cent of Newcastle United fans want to Steve Bruce sacked immediately, according to the Evening Chronicle.

The Magpies are sitting dangerously close to relegation after losing 3-0 to Brighton prior to the international break.

They lead 18th-placed Fulham by just two points with a game in hand.

Newcastle's local newspaper conducted a poll this week which received a staggering 14,000 participants.

The results showed 95 per cent believe the club and Bruce should part ways.

92 per cent believe Toon will be relegated if Bruce remains in charge.

Interestingly, 53 per cent of pollsters have blamed the club's travails on owner Mike Ashley.
