Olympique Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta remains on Newcastle United's radar.

Newcastle made an attempt for Paqueta in January as they closed a deal for former OL teammate Bruno Guimaraes.

But! says Newcastle are now ready to return to OL for Paqueta this summer.

Talks between Newcastle and the player's camp have been ongoing since the winter market shut and there's a confidence Paqueta will eventually join good friend Guimaraes on Tyneside in the coming months.

Newcastle officials were in France last week to see OL face Nantes and hold talks over Paqueta's situation.
