Newcastle United remain in the hunt for Atalanta fullback Robin Gosens.

The Germany international has been in contact with Newcastle since before Christmas.

Atalanta have acknowledged Newcastle's interest in their players over the last week, which also include Duvan Zapata.

Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira reports personal terms with Gosens have already been settled, with Newcastle offering a deal to 2025 worth €3.5m-a-season.

Newcastle want Gosens to undergo a medical check, as he hasn't featured since September, before submitting a bid to La Dea.
