Newcastle record-signing Miguel Almiron has declared himself ready for Monday night's clash with Wolves.
The Paraguayan only trained with his teammates for the first time on Wednesday due to permit problems.
However, Almiron says he is fit enough to start performing now for his new club, who paid £21m for his services last month.
"It's been a hectic week. I've had lots of things to sort out but I feel more settled," Almiron said during his unveiling as a Magpies player at St James' Park on Thursday.
"I'm very, very happy I can train daily. I've put in some decent work already on the training ground, which is something I needed.
"I physically feel good and it's good to focus on training, working hard and learning the tactics. It's down to the manager whether I will be ready for Monday but certainly I feel ready, and I'm keen to take part.
"I feel good physically. I'm in good shape. Our pre-season had started with Atlanta [in January] so I got some physical stuff done then, so I'm good, thank you."
