Newcastle United are considering a move for Alanyaspor defender Steven Caulker.
The Mirror says Caulker, 27, has established himself in the side at top-flight Alanyaspor since joining in January on a free.
But he has just one year left on his contract and could be available for as little as £2million.
New Toon boss Steve Bruce is a long-term admirer and has been making enquiries about Caulker's fitness and form after he impressed in pre-season.
Caulker started his career at Tottenham , joined Cardiff for £8million in 2013 and moved to QPR for the same amount a year later.
Caulker has also had loan spells at Southampton and Liverpool.
