Newcastle United may attempt a late move for Fulham striker David Healy.

Healy is the subject of swap talks with Sunderland, which would see midfielder Dickson Etuhu move in the opposite direction.

The Guardian says Newcastle, whose executive director, Dennis Wise, managed Healy at Leeds United, have also been considering a bid for a forward whose Premier League scoring ratio has failed to mirror his remarkable international strike rate.
