Newcastle United are preparing new contract talks with Callum Wilson this summer.
The centre-forward is a key player for Eddie Howe's side, and remains a pivotal figure despite a summer of significant arrivals.
According to The Mirror, the Magpies are working on extending Wilson's contract, who has been at the club since signing from Bournemouth in 2020.
The club are, however, looking to sign another forward to take the pressure off Wilson, who is often the only goal threat in the team.
Newcastle have secured the signing of defender Sven Botman after protracted negotiations with Lille.
They are linked to forwards Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moussa Diaby.
