Newcastle United are making a move for Real Betis midfielder Nabil Fekir.

The France international's contract expires in 2023 and he has declared he's open to discussing new terms.

However, Foot Mercato says Newcastle's new owners are interested in Fekir as they seek to sign a top class No10.

The Toon have made contact with Fekir's minders to register their interest.

The midfielder joined Betis in 2019 from Lyon after a move to Liverpool fell through due to a claimed failed medical.
