Newcastle United could be tempted into a move for ex-Liverpool and Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge.

The 31-year-old has been without a club since March 2020, when his contract with Trabzonspor was terminated.

He has not secured a new team, and has been trying to stay fit to find another club.

Per claims from 90Min, he is being linked with a move to MLS in America.

The source also claims West Brom and Sheffield United showed some interest in Sturridge.

The player's representatives reached out to Newcastle, who are now without Callum Wilson for eight weeks.
