Newcastle News: Benitez challenges Dubravka; Jorgensen agent talks 'daring' Toon bid

Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is pleased with the arrival of Martin Dubravka.

The goalkeeper is on a six-month loan from Sparta Prague.

“He's keen to play with his feet, I think he's said that already, and it's true," Benitez replied when asked what Dubravka would bring to the Newcastle side.

“He's very agile, has personality and has good English, so I think he's a player with experience who can give us something different.

“But to play in the Premier League is different to any other league, so we have to decide when he's ready to play in this league and if he can be ahead of the others.

“He has to compete and show where he is, just like the other 'keepers."

Meanwhile, the agent of Feyenoord striker Nicolai Jorgensen admits Newcastle pushed hard for the Dane last month.

Mikkel Nissen told Ekstra Bladet: “I can confirm that Newcastle specifically wanted to have him and did a lot to make it successful.

“There were also other Premier League clubs in play, but Newcastle was the most daring."
