Andros Townsend expressed his gratitude to Tottenham Hotspur upon his departure from the club.
The 24-year-old winger joined Newcastle United on a five-and-a-half-year deal for a reported fee of £12million on Wednesday having started his senior career with Spurs in 2009 after coming through the club's youth academy.
Despite reports of an unceremonious exit after being frozen out of the first team, former Birmingham City and QPR loanee Townsend looked back on his time at White Hart Lane and was delighted he was able to represent his beloved Spurs.
