Newcastle United have made a move for Sassuolo left-back Rogerio.
The 22-year old Brazilian is among Newcastle's top targets for the left back position after Danny Rose's loan from Tottenham ended.
Toon boss Steve Bruce though may have to face up to a reality of a small budget plus loans and free transfers if takeover talks are not revived by other parties, says the Daily Mail.
The Newcastle boss also wants to add a striker, midfielder and centre back this summer.
Transfer budget at St James' Park now remains to be seen, given the collapse of the proposed takeover of the club this week.
