Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey wants to stay at the club beyond this season.
The all-action midfield superstar has been instrumental in the club's revival under manager Eddie Howe in the second half of this season.
With Shelvey performing at a high level in the Premier League, he is hoping to earn a new contract with the Magpies this summer.
"I want to show the club that I warrant a couple more years," he told Sky Sports.
"I'd happily hold my hands up and say I don't deserve to be here if I felt I can't play at this top level any more, but I want to stay as long as I can and be part of it all."
