Newcastle midfielder Sylvain Marveaux has joined French club Guingamp on a season-long loan deal. The 28-year-old joined was not included in the senior squad which flew out to New Zealand at the weekend after training with the development squad during the early part of pre-season.

Boss Alan Pardew has made six signings so far this summer indicating Marveaux's involvement would have been even more limited next season.
