Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff was delighted to score in their friendly at Doncaster Rovers last Friday.
Longstaff scored the second goal of the game as the Magpies ran out 3-2 winners at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday evening.
"It was big. It has been a little while coming and it was only a pre-season game but it is about getting in the right habits," Longstaff told NUFC TV.
"Scoring a goal, it is something I want to do a bit more of this season. Breaking forward a bit more and taking more risks.
"Hopefully I can score a few more goals during the season.
"Growing up I was a bit more attacking than defensive and when I first came through that changed a little bit.
"I want to try and mix it up a bit. I think my biggest strength is getting box to box and hopefully scoring goals doing that."
