FC Porto have reportedly joined Newcastle United in the pursuit of Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

According to The Mirror, Mitrovic is currently weighing up his options and consulting family before making a final decision.

Newcastle are believed to have tabled a £12million bid for the Serbian, but it is understood Mitrovic has concerns that the Magpies will not be competing in Europe this coming season.

Porto have secured a Champions League spot, but are reportedly unable to match the wages Newcastle are offering.
