Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce is reluctant to discuss Peter Kenyon's takeover push.
Kenyon, the former Manchester United and Chelsea chief executive, has teamed up with US investors GACP Sports to launch a £300million bid to buy out Mike Ashley.
But today Bruce said: "Honestly, until I was briefed this morning, news to me. It's not something I can comment on. I have had no chats (with Ashley).
"I can't influence anything like that. The only thing I can influence is how I play Saturday. That is only thing I can focus on."
Of takeover speculation, he added: "You have to get used to it. It's happened three or four times to me before, you get used to it.
"This club always has speculation round it and it has never happened, so watch this space."
