Newcastle to make Nile Ranger decision this week

Nile Ranger will learn his Newcastle United future this week.

The Sunday Mirror reports a decision on Ranger's future will be made when owner Mike Ashley and managing director Derek Llambias return from a trip to Barbados.

Ranger was arrested a week ago for being drunk and disorderly and he will face magistrates on November 17.

But after being arrested three times in three months, the 20-year-old Londoner knows his career on Tyneside is now in the balance.

A Toon insider said: "A decision on Nile Ranger will be made when Mike Ashley and Derek Llambias return. They want to consider all the facts relating to the Ranger case and make sure that any decision is in line with the club's disciplinary policy and employment law."
